Truth!

I found wholeness through the love of God when His unconditional love got a hold of me.  That’s it in a nutshell.  That is what I needed in my life.  A taste, the feel, the absolute knowing of what unconditional love was all about.  When I knew, that I knew, that no matter what I did before and who I was and the faltered person I still can be, that God loves me, there is a change that one will have in their heart that will be  so touching that it is unexplainable.  But – oh – so beautiful!

It’s your too – it’s everyone’s – and if you don’t feel it – ask God to meet you where you are at. I didn’t “feel” it right away either.  It was something I sought after.  Sometimes I think I ran away from it since it might have seemed foreign.  But – it is real – very real.

When it does get a hold of you – it will change you – and heal you.

God is a good God.  Unconditional love heals.

We need more of that unconditional love in the world and there would be more healing.  Period.  Truth.  What a wonderful thing that would be.  When I receive that – and I do – from my fiance’ – it is a feeling like no other.  This world would be changed.

Receive love – Give Love – True Love Heals.

Starts With Us. 🙂

Praying for a Beautiful Monday for Everyone!

Kelly 🙂

It Starts In the Heart…….

I love the saying that just because you sit in a garage, that doesn’t make you a car……..so sitting in a church…doesn’t make you a Christian. That saying also made me chuckle….however, it is the truth.

I have been going to church again. I wasn’t going for quite a long time. What? I haven’t been going? I know. There are some that would gasp at that and might even judge. I had my reasons. Yet, all along, I knew I was still loving the Lord and my relationship was still intact. At times, I was barely hanging on to tell the truth and I was spiritually treading water at times too. Ever been there in your walk with the Lord? However, deep down, I knew He was still loving me. And as the Bible states, He is the same yesterday, today and forever……never changing. That IS the great thing about Him and one of the things I love the most because HIS love is secure…..that you can count on…….you can count on HIM……..HE is your security and His never changing ways and love.

I was asked yesterday about this blog and why I am not writing because they miss it. I didn’t know, honestly if people enjoyed it or not, however, I got a reminder yesterday and then I stayed home today because the other reminder I got was going to church doesn’t make you a Christian. The same person who asked me about the blog reminded me that she is mostly homebound and most times, for her, this is the only “Jesus” she sees and is refreshed and loves the honesty and transparency she gets from me. I want to be transparent. I have been in a desert with the Lord for awhile now. And I believe we all go through those times with our walk with the Lord. And they are not fun. We have our mountaintops, valleys, deserts, etc. and boy do we have some questions at times. Sometimes we don’t even know how to ask our questions because we are dumbfounded…..and all we can do is say, really God? But, what I have been reminded of is that HE is the one that can handle all the questions and He already knows what is on our mind and in our heart so we might as well get it off our chest 🙂 and give it to Him because He is the one who can help.

The key is this…..we can go to church all we want….. but if our hearts aren’t changed or renewed or touched or whatever word you want to put in their, it becomes religion. And religion will eventually leave us spiritually dead. God has allot to say about hearts. HIS WORD has allot to say. It begins with our hearts……..every morning, I try to remember to give him my heart in prayer and ask Him to change my heart first to be more like His so that it can affect others throughout the day. If we have His heart more, how would our world be different…….or our relationships? Hate would disappear…..unforgiveness would cease……grace would cover…..mercy would rule……patience would be greater…because His love would be ruler of our hearts…we would see people as He sees people….and we would hate sin and love righteousness more and more…….. And we can pray for that 7 days a week and not just on Sunday…..yes, it is transformation and boy, am I am work in progress and I am SO thankful for His grace, mercy and patience on me.

Will  I continue to go to church?  Sure!  That is where His people gather to worship His name in Praise!!!  and Hear  and be transformed by His Word and to help with our transformation!  But we continue our relationship with Him from the depth of our heart the other 6 days of the week!!!

Next Thing You Know…..by Matthew West

I was sitting eating my breakfast this morning and as I do every morning, I was thanking the Lord through out the morning, here and there for various blessings that were popping up that I was thankful for. The Holy Spirit reminded me that I had prayed about something and the Lord answered that prayer pretty quickly and sometimes we just don’t seem to recognize the “smaller blessings”. We seem to focus on the things we don’t have or are still waiting on……but He does listen! He does answer! He does care! It may not always be the way we want it to be or He may require us to adjust, there is no doubt about that. I am definitely here to testify to that one! I have had to have many attitude adjustments along the way and still do. Sometimes, spiritually, I am sure he looks at me like a teenager who is just wanting her own way 🙂 🙂 🙂

What I found interesting in my little talk with the Holy Spirit this morning was the fact of the what would be consider small, insignificant prayers as some people would call them. I beg to differ!! This is exactly what this one was! It was a small request, nothing big and it was all about little ole Kelly. However, the Holy Spirit did indicate to me that my heart was right in this one, and that is BIG to our Holy God. The Bible has allot to say about our heart. One verse that came to my spirit with this was……

Jeremiah 17:10:
“God searches the heart and examines the mind to reward each person according to their conduct , according to what their deeds deserve.”

and Acts 1:24 where it states that the Lord knows everyones heart and Proverbs 21:2 states that the Lord weighs the Lord in the matter

Gods word is full of heart scriptures and is clear that the condition of your heart is critical in our walk with the Lord.

Bottom line……God cares about even the smallest of things in our life and what our heart cares about. His precious Words even speaks about giving us our hearts desires! He wants to give us our hearts desires. He really does care that much. Does he want our heart to be right in the matter? Yes. We are to be walking each and everyday closer and closer to Him, be more and more refined into the image of Christ. And that means attitude adjustments. And that starts in the heart. And that is where God judges from.

The song I shared with you, Matthew West’s Next Thing I Know, catchy tune, isn’t it? I thought it tied in to today’s post for 2 reasons. First, at the age of 13 he was touched by Billy Graham. Where? In his heart but as you will listen he fell away a bit……we all do at times……where….in our hearts? But when he cried out in college again……a simple prayer….from his heart….God shows up……when we truly mean it from our heart….and I do mean from the heart ……and God will know when it is and when it isn’t….it will be a BEAUTIFUL thing……..soak this scripture in…..

Matthew 5:8 “Blessed are those who are pure in heart…..for they will see God”

Father God, thank You for the beautiful precious gift that you have given us in Jesus and that He died on the cross for us and that there is nothing that we have to do to receive that gift except to receive that gift in faith. Lord, thank you for receiving our prayers in faith and please search our hearts and minds and line them up according to Your will. That is our desire….is to live according to Your will. As we do that, we know that we will be blessed as Your Word says and we will see You. Thank you for answering our prayers, big and small and let us see how You are at work when we don’t see the prayers being answered right away. Open up our spiritual eyes to see. Thank You in the precious name of Jesus. Amen
