A Mother’s Prayer

💖💖💖💖

Talk about Motivational Monday!  I got a wedding to attend soon!  My son is getting married this Saturday to an amazing young woman and together they remind me of teamwork on steroids!  Sorry – it’s the best way I can put it! 🙂 – through life’s ups and downs and what it throws at us sometimes, this couple has worked with persistency to grow together and have fun doing it!

What does that have to do with motivation you ask?  Well, let me be real.  I have prayed their whole life to be able to find someone and share the next chapters of their life with that person and now this season is among them.

But, as a mother, you continue to only wish the best for your children and prayer has always been one thing that I truly believe in and have seen first hand how it works.

What does that have to do with your Motivational Monday?  What I would like is for it to remind each and every one of us that God is among us and He always loves to hear from us and our hearts.

So, today, my motivation took me to the upcoming bond of marriage and the prayer as a mother.

~May these two people who have found each other continue in the ways of love, grace, kindness, forgiveness and fun.

~ May life treat them good, fair and plentiful but through life’s stuff that happens, may the teamwork get stronger and they continue to have each other’s back in words, action and prayers.

~ May their life be protected in their relationship, their health, their minds and finances

~ May they continue to look at each other with acceptance, love, innocence and may life bring them remembrances of the times love was first felt.

~  May they continue to support each other in their individuality and their dreams making them happen and looking back, knowing, their commitment carried them through.

~ May laughter be plentiful and fun times be had, may they be each other’s priority, safe zone, cheerleader and who they run to when a bad day comes.

~ My wish, hope, want and prayer is for them to love and be loved like God loves them and to experience life to the fullest for what they both need and want 🙂

That is all a mother could ask for…..

Let this be a motivation for all of us to say a prayer today for yourself, ones you love or reaching out to people you know need a touch today.

Now that’s motivation!

Happy Monday!

Food for Thought………

keep-calm-and-respond-39

Welcome Sunday night once again!  Yes, Monday is right around the corner and to be honest, I myself had to hold on real tight to my Momentous Monday thoughts!  So much to say and so much to whine about but you don’t want to hear my little issues I am sure 🙂

Sooooooo, I said to myself…”knock it off” and practice the very things I am saying for all of us to do together.

So here we are and what can be our thought of today and I came across one that is a pretty popular saying.  If this is the first time you are hearing it then let it be life changing.  If this is the 50th time you are hearing it, then I invite you to be with me and let’s look at our reactions to the things around us and what is happening in our life right now.

The phrase? …….drum roll please…..

“Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react to it”

hmmmmmmm, food for thought huh?

Let it soak in today as I will and see what it means to us and in our life.  It really can be life changing if we start reacting and responding differently to our situations and life around us.

In fact, let’s just go one step further.  Responding is even different than reacting……

Ok, now that I wowed you and gave you this deep information to ponder 🙂 – when the situations arise on our Monday, let’s dive deep and see how we have the power to turn in around…… kind of like that turn the frown upside down 😦 🙂

Happy Sunday night into our Momentous Monday!

Time for a laugh!

YOU GOTTA WATCH THIS!

Just click on the link above!  First – I do NOT own the rights to this video.  It has been all over Facebook, however, I will say that this video is hilarious!  If anyone knows me, I love to laugh and find humor in all that I can and this video certainly brought laughter!

I had to share it with all of you as well – not only because it’s hilarious – but also because it parallels so much of the human nature in all of us!

I will make this blog short and sweet – we all have a human nature side that when we get caught in doing something we shouldn’t, we want to “slide” as smoothly as we can out of the pool AND try not to be noticed. (figuratively speaking of course!) .

Before he got caught, he was about as happy as a lark -lol- doing his own thing but ALSO knew he should not be where he was when his owner saw him!

Doesn’t that parallel our human nature?

Going one step further, don’t we have the tendency to “bark” back when we have done something wrong or have missed the mark?

I don’t know about you, but I think that this video says so much and is elegantly or hilariously portrayed by man’s very own best friend – a dog 🙂

I hope you all have a laugh and a smile that stays with you! 🙂

SHHHHH………..

Ok….I have an experiment for everyone.  I did it and it became real.  It isn’t the first time I did it and certainly won’t be the last because of the mere fact that every time I do it, it brings on insight and growth.

So, before we proceed, if you don’t want insight and growth and I do know people who have said “no thanks”, you might not want to do this.

Remember, if we are staying in the attitude of love, then every person has the ability to choose and we would love them through that choice.  It doesn’t mean that we condone or even agree with what people do and vice versa, may not agree with what I do, but love would still be present allowing for people to grow more as they desire.

First, before we get to the experiment, that last paragraph paralleled something in the Bible – judgement.

What I try to bring to my writing and I truly hope it comes across is that I, myself, am a believer in God, Jesus, the Cross, redemption and the fact that I believe in the Bible’s teachings.  I also will not argue, debate or “thoroughly discuss” as some have put it unless we want to get into a deep conversation about God’s love.

What I also try to bring to the table in my writings is I am not here to judge, nor do I want the job as it is way too burdensome and heavy for me to carry.  I try to give out scriptures for people to read, pray on, and ponder for themselves and if they want more understanding, my hope is that they ask God through prayer to shed light on the scriptures.

My relationship is with God, through Jesus, and I am not here to preach it, pound it, throw it or Bible beat anyone.  I am here to try, my very best, to live the Bible and its’ teachings, which by the way, is not always easy.

Now……….experiment time!!!!!  Who’s in?

Take 30 minutes or even 20 minutes if you can’t take 30 🙂 –

Sit in a room…..no TV, no cell phone, no one else, no radio, no music, no noise.  I know……. it just became real already in the world we live in!

Take a note pad and pen in your silent room.

Ready? Go!

What is on your mind?  The first 5 minutes or possibly 10, will be all the things racing through your head…..what you need to get done, what you forgot, how silly this experiment is……..all kinds of things will race through your mind………….yet, sit, wait and write down what ALSO is on your mind.  What is your heart trying to tell you.  What IS bothering you?  What images come?  Maybe it’s a word, phrase, paragraph or images.

To make this even more intense, take the leap of faith in prayer and ask to be shown something that needs to be addressed in your life, your heart, to come to a place of working through things.  Everyone has “things”.  Everyone has something that they could improve or need healing of some sort.  Sometimes, just sometimes, you get something much more out of it than you even expected.

This has been a very successful experiment with me countless times.  My mere desire was to share with you and hope you get just a little out of it, well, a lot of out it 🙂

Again, I will say it as a disclosure, if you don’t want to look deeper in your life where sometimes we all have to grow or heal, this experiment might not be for you.

I hope it is and you are touched deeply today.

Experiment on!

Christianity 101

Love.

Not enough information?  Ok – Let me try this…….

John 13:34 – “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another”

Galatians 5:14 – The entire Law is fulfilled in a single decree: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”

Galatians 6:2 – “Carry one another’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the Law of Christ.”

Does that clarify some things?  It does for me.

I could keep on giving scriptures but if we soak on those for awhile, it would change us with just those.

I am a simple person and I don’t like to complicate things or confusion.  I am also the kind of person that likes truth.  Does truth feel good all the time?  No.  However, when truth, spoken in love, can help me, as a  person, to see things and consequently, with the same love, be there for that person.

Does truth challenge me at times?  Yes.  However, when truth challenges me, it means I have am getting there – I am growing – I am seeing things inside myself that can be tweaked to maturity and I haven’t reached the end.

Here’s the big question…………

Have I perfected the love road at all times?  No.  God’s love will continue with me to the very day that I leave earth and to go be with the Perfect One.  In the meantime, I have His love, unconditional love, and our call is to freely give out that love to others.  The thing we need to see is loving people, with unconditional love, is powerful and life-changing.

That’s Christianity 101.

This is not what I say.  The theme of love, us receiving it and living and giving love out, is all over the Bible.  You know the old saying – don’t shoot the messenger.

I am also one that will never argue or debate the Bible.  The theme of love has been shown to me time and time again, trusted and true and never failed…………mostly when I have asked to see how love is flowing in my life.  We ask and we receive.  Maybe not exactly how we want it, feel we should have it or when we should, but if we seek, we will find.

Here is the thing………….Each of our walks need to be walked individually…….I am where I am in my view of life, some are at other places.  The common denominator should be love and acceptance of where others are at in their life as they grow.  God is always there. No doubt for me.  As I walk with Him, talk with Him, spend time with Him, and seek answers out, it is constantly shown.

And that, my friends, is peace in the heart.

I do pray that all have a wonderful 4th of July, remember those who fight/have fought for our freedom we have, receive love from God and freely flow it out to others.

With Love,

Kelly

Challenge Anyone?

Some people love to have a physical challenge to know they have conquered that goal.  Some love a mental challenge like spelling bees to feel the thrill of conquests.  I don’t know about you – but I really do like to challenge myself  personally to live each day as a better version of myself than the day before.  I like when I can lay my head down at night and know that I have done the best I could with what I was handed in this world called life.  Easy?  hmmmmm….NO!  Some days I want to bury my head in a pillow and either scream or cry……….the better question would be…….Challenging?  and the answer would be a resounding YES!!!!….but I like to be challenged in the emotional sense as well as physically and mentally.  I like to learn, grow, be stretched as a human and know that I am evolving into a better me. Not a better someone else but a better ME 🙂  –  You see, if we stop growing emotionally, we stop.  Game over.  Stagnant water.  Complacency.  Motionless.  Personally and emotionally we can become all of those things and our mind can just become dormant.  That’s personally how we become single minded or close minded.  I pray that I always have the heart to be challenged – to always have the hope in a world that doesn’t look hopeful at times, to keep the faith when things seem like they are falling apart and to spread love when I might be the only one spreading love at that moment.  Even more so, to show love in a hateful world.  Ouch.  Now that’s challenging.  And there are times I fail at that. Then I pick myself up – knowing I too, need help in that area and need to grow.  But I am willing to take the challenge and grow my personal and emotional muscles.  Are you with me?  Let’s spread kindness to people who might not be kind.  Let’s smile and make a difference.  Let’s do it randomly even when others are not.

Let’s enjoy life – Have hope – Keep Faith – Spread Love

Have a wonderful Friday!
